Owning their own mortgage company was a long time dream for Maria and her husband, Carl. Time Mortgage was born out of that dream. Maria is a licensed Mortgage Broker in the State of Florida and has been a Registered Nurse for over 20 years. She oversees the general business operations of the company, including but not limited to, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, taxes, insurance, office maintenance, and office policies and procedures. As Director of Human Resources, she uses her gift of hospitality to build staff moral and plan client appreciation events. She brings a positive attitude and a great sense of humor to the office.

Maria began her mortgage career, along with her husband Carl, as a branch manager for Family First Mortgage where together they were the #1 Family First branch in the nation for 3 years. No small feat considering they were competing against 300 other branches. After six years however, they decided to open Time Mortgage. “We realized there were a lot of restrictions that came with being a branch manager. We wanted to be able to offer more to our clients,” says Maria when asked why they started their own company. Maria the true optimist quotes Sir Winston Churchill saying"A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in very difficulty"
She has a wide variety of interests including traveling in their RV, theatre and cooking. Her favorite place to visit is New York City. She and Carl live here in Palm Harbor with their three children.
